About Rythu Bazaar
Rythu Bazaars are government-run farmers' markets operating across the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Launched on January 26, 1999, by the then Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, this system allows small and marginal farmers to sell fresh vegetables, fruits, and perishables directly to consumers. By eliminating traditional middlemen and commission agents, the initiative guarantees higher remuneration for cultivators while offering quality produce at affordable rates to the public.
